Aung Pyi Sone

His real name is Aung Pyi Sone. He was born on 3rd November 1974 in Yangon, Burma. His father is a National-Literature-Award-winning poet and editor, and his mother, a retired middle school teacher. His wife is a poet. His very first published poem was featured in Phu Pwint Way Way magazine in 1997. He holds a degree in Botany. He and Maung Pyiyt Min, one of early Khit Por poets, authored a book of poetry titled “One by One” in 2008. He is the author of two poetry collections, “When the war was over, the Man in the Iron Mask revealed his real face” (2014) and “Golfing” (2015). With other poets he was featured in six poetry anthologies. He is not only a poet but an editor, music article writer, and music video director. He has exhibited poetry and poetry-related visual artworks. He is now planning to publish his poetry collection, balavamukha we: (fearful giant whirlpool), and poetry duo, Confidential Roses, with his wife.
