Award-winning poet Zaw Htein (b-18.10.1977) was born in Pyinmana (now called Naypyidaw). His work was first published in Cherry Magazine. Since then he has been writing poetry in local magazines. He also did interviews with local poets. In 2009 his poetry book named Together With Stars was published. He took part as a member in the poetry movement of Middle Yoma Poetry Award Group. The poem “The One Who Has Run Away From Me” featured here (Issue 2, Be Untexed) won the Moonlit Corner Poetry Prize for 2006 awarded by poets from Lashio, the largest town in northern Shan State, Burma. He’s currently working in local national Universities as a lecturer of Philosophy.
